基本薄壁組織的細胞 無色，橫切面呈圓球或多角狀，長與寬的差異不明顯，幾乎等徑， 胞具生活的原生質(zhì)體，是營性的生活細胞。在植物體中，基本薄壁 組織起填充的作用，因而也稱其為填充薄壁組織。同化薄壁組織同 化薄壁組織因與光合作用關(guān)系密切而得名，多存在于植物體表的易 受光部位。其特點是細胞含有葉綠體，能進行光合作用，所以又稱 綠色薄壁組織（chlorenchyma）。例如植物葉上、下表皮之間的 葉肉中都含有葉綠體，尤其是靠近上表皮的柵欄組織細胞中，葉綠 體更多。葉綠體也存在于皮層中或莖的較部甚至髓部。在植物幼嫩 的部位如綠色的莖、枝條和果實的外部也常具一些同化薄壁組織。 在個別具退化葉的植物（如、天冬）的莖中，其表皮下有數(shù)層含葉 綠體的薄壁組織細胞代替葉子的同化薄壁組織細胞，常出現(xiàn)明顯的 液泡化并形成高度的腔室結(jié)構(gòu)，從而有利于進行氣體交換。貯藏薄 壁組織貯藏薄壁組織是積存植物特殊后含物，如淀粉粒、蛋白質(zhì)顆 粒、擬晶體、脂肪球、油滴以及其他有機物質(zhì)等的一種組織。主要 分布在根、根莖、種子和果實等器官中。
