壓電式加速度傳感器，又稱振動傳感器，是基于壓電晶體的壓電效應工作的。某些晶體在一定方向上受力變形時，其內(nèi)部會產(chǎn)生極化現(xiàn)象，同時在它的兩個表面上產(chǎn)生符號相反的電荷；當外力去除后，又重新恢復到不帶電狀態(tài)，這種現(xiàn)象稱為“壓電效應"，具有“壓電效應"的晶體稱為壓電晶體。常用的壓電晶體有石英、壓電陶瓷等，在現(xiàn)代生產(chǎn)生活中被應用于許許多多的方面，如手提電腦的硬盤抗摔保護，目前用的數(shù)碼相機和攝像機里，也有加速度傳感器，用來檢測拍攝時候的手部的振動，并根據(jù)這些振動，自動調(diào)節(jié)相機的聚焦。壓電加速度傳感器還應用于汽車安全氣囊、防抱死系統(tǒng)、牽引控制系統(tǒng)等安全性能方面。
美國Dytran的3274A1是一款超小型IEPE加速度傳感器/振動傳感器，IEEE1451.2是智能傳感器接口模塊標準。它提供了將傳感器和變送器連接到網(wǎng)絡(luò)的接口標準，主要用于實現(xiàn)傳感器的網(wǎng)絡(luò)化。IEEE1451.2標準采用通用的A/D或D/A轉(zhuǎn)換裝置作為傳感器的I/O接口，將各種傳感器模擬量轉(zhuǎn)換成標準規(guī)定格式的數(shù)據(jù)，連同一個小存儲器—傳感器電子數(shù)據(jù)表TEDS（Transducer Electronic Data Sheet），與標準規(guī)定的處理器目標模型—網(wǎng)絡(luò)適配器NCAP（Network Capable Application Process）連接。如此，數(shù)據(jù)可以按網(wǎng)絡(luò)規(guī)定的協(xié)議接入網(wǎng)絡(luò)。該標準結(jié)構(gòu)模型提供了一個連接智能變送器的接口模型STIM（Smart Transducer Interface Module）NCAP的10線標準接口—變送獨立接口TII（Transducer Independence Interface）。
The Dytran 3274A1 is an ultra miniature high frequency IEPE accelerometer with IEEE 1451.4 TEDS capabilities.
Units have an overall height of just 0.24-inches (6.1-millimeters), weigh just 2 grams, and are ideal for the measurement of shock and vibration of very small, lightweight objects such as printed circuit boards and board mounted components.
Offered with a sensitivity of 5 mV/g, the model 3274A1 features a quartz shear sensing element, packaged in a lightweight, teardrop titanium housing. Designed for adhesive mount, the Dytran model 3274A1 has an upper frequency response of 10,000 Hz. Due to their low mass and high crystal stiffness, units have a resonant frequency of >40 kHz, allowing them to be used to measure high frequency vibration with very little error.
The model 3274A1 utilizes a specially designed 3-56 coaxial connector, mating with a 3-foot (0.9-meter) replaceable coaxial cable and terminating to a 10-32 jack. Units are hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high humidity environments, as well as case isolated to avoid EMI/ground loop interference.
