API 3000 mass spectrometer system
The PE/SCIEX API 3000 is a triple quadropole mass spectrometer with a liquid chromatography （LC） interface able to analyse complex molecules up to m/e- 3000. The two ion sources, a turbo ion spray （ESI） and an atmospheric pressure chemical ionization （APCI） can both be interchanged without the need to evacuate the vacuum chambers making it easy to experiment with all the ionization modes and scan modes available to the instrument. The mass spectrometer is coupled to a HP 1100 series LC system fully configured with an auto sampler and a diode array detector （DAD）.
